There are no ATMs within Finlandia Hall. There is an ATM located in the railway station area.

Airport Information
Helsinki Airport is located 21.1 km (12.5 miles) away from downtown Helsinki. For more information on getting from the Airport to the city centre, see Transportation.
Audio-Visual
An LCD projector (e.g., for PowerPoint presentations) will be provided in Finlandia Hall; however, computers are NOT provided. Presenters must bring their own computers and set them up BEFORE the start of the session in which they are presenting. Presenters must arrive at the auditorium a minimum of 30 minutes before their talk.
Business Meeting
The SNL Business Meeting is Thursday, August 22nd at 9:30 am. All SNL members are encouraged to attend. This is your opportunity to hear about SNL, ask questions, and give feedback.
Certificate of Attendance
To receive a Certificate of Attendance, please visit the Registration Desk. If you require any changes, we will be happy to email or mail a copy after the meeting (info@neurolang.org).
Childcare
Thanks to funding from the National Institutes of Health, SNL is pleased to offer onsite childcare at this year’s meeting in Helsinki. Childcare is located in Soloist Rooms 1-2.

All Attendees are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner. It is unlawful to harass any person or employee because of that person’s gender, sexual orientation or race. In addition, we require that all questions and comments to speakers and poster presenters be respectful and collegial. Verbal aggression will not be tolerated.

Copying & Printing
Posters can be printed at Unigrafia (University print house). You can order online for pick up at the city centre location (Fabianinkatu 28), not too far from Finlandia Hall. Paper posters may take up to three working days to print.

Lunch Breaks:
SNL provides a 1.5 hour lunch break each day. Café Veranda, which features fresh, organic products, is located on the street level of Finlandia Hall. The glass walls and summer terrace offer an inspiring view of the Töölö Bay. In addition, attendees can venture out and discover some of the delicious local eateries nearby.
Future Meetings
SNL 2020 will be held October 21-23 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. SNL 2021 will be held October 7-9 in Brisbane, Australia. Proposals for SNL 2022, 2023, and 2024 are being accepted now. Please go to the SNL website.
Guest Policy
Guests are allowed complimentary entry into one SNL session (for the purposes of seeing the poster or slide of the person they are a guest of). Guests are welcome to attend the Opening Night Reception.
Guests must register at the SNL Registration Desk upon arrival and must be accompanied by the SNL attendee. Guests must wear a badge for entrance into the session they are attending.
Internet Access
Internet access is free throughout Finlandia Hall. Connect to “FinlandiaHallSecure.” The password is “FinlandiaHallSecure.”
Lost & Found
Please check with the SNL Registration Desk for lost and found items.
Meeting Rooms
All general sessions (Keynotes, Award Talks, Slides, Slams, and the Symposia) will be held in Finlandia Hall. Posters will be presented in Restaurant Hall.
Messages
A bulletin board will be available for messages and job postings near the SNL Registration Desk.
Mobile Phones
Attendees are asked to silence their mobile phones when in sessions.
Name Badges
For security purposes, all attendees must wear their name badge to all sessions and social functions. Entrance into sessions is restricted to registered attendees only. If you misplace your name badge, please go to the Registration Desk for a replacement.
Parking
Q-Park Finlandia is located nearby and connected to Finlandia Hall by an underground walkway during Finlandia Hall’s opening hours.
The entrance to the car park is on Karamzininranta. Parking charges apply and the 650-space facility is operated by Q-Park. For more information, please contact Q-Park on +358 20 781 2400. Two hours of free parking are provided to veterans and the disabled and mobility-impaired. Tickets for these spaces are available at the Finlandia Hall Service Point on Level 1.

Public Transportation
Get around safely, sustainably, and for free using Helsinki Region Transport (HRT/HSL), Helsinki’s public transit system. HRT/HSL will be supporting SNL 2019 by offering FREE public transportation for all meeting attendees. The 3-day tickets are valid from August 20 – 22 and can be used in the greater Helsinki area, including the neighboring cities of Espoo, Vantaa and Kauniainen. Detailed information about public transportation in Helsinki can be found at https://www.hsl.fi/en. In addition, the HSL app is available for Android and iPhone devices at https://www.hsl.fi/en/app. Attendees can pick up their transportation ticket with their meeting materials.

Smoking
Smoking, including the use of e-cigarettes, is not permitted inside Finlandia Hall. There are designated smoking areas outside of the M4 and K4 entrances.
Social Events
Opening Night Reception
Join your colleagues on Tuesday, August 20 at 7:00 pm for an elegant evening of food, drinks and stimulating conversation in the exquisite Banquet Hall of the Helsinki City Hall. Designed in 1833 by the famous German architect Carl Ludvig Engel, City Hall features a beautiful white and blue façade in the imperial style and overlooks the bustling Market Square. The interior was modernized the 1960’s, but the resplendent Banquet Hall has retained its elegant 19th century form.
The walk from the Finlandia Hall to the Helsinki City Hall is 1.8 KM, about a 20 minute walk. You can also take tram 4 from Finlandia Hall to the beautiful Senate Square and then walk one block to the City Hall.

Wednesday Evening Social Hour
Attendees are invited to enjoy a special Social Hour in Restaurant Hall during the Wednesday evening poster session. The event will feature complimentary local delicacies, and the first drink is on us! Look for your free drink ticket in the back of your badge. In addition, a cash bar will be available.

Transportation
Car Rental
There are six car-rental companies at Helsinki Airport: Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Europcar, Hertz and Sixt. Their service desks can be found in the corridor between terminals 1 and 2. You can pick up the rental cars easily from the parking hall P3.
Taxi
Airport taxis pick up in front of terminal 1 and on ground floor at terminal 2.

Agency-specific price information is available in front of the terminals, on the information screens next to the taxi ranks.
Finlandia Hall’s taxi stand can be found on Karamzininranta, in front of the K1 entrance. Taxis can also be asked to pick up guests on the Mannerheimintie side of the building.
Train
From the Airport: The train connection between Helsinki Airport and the Helsinki city center takes about 30 minutes. There are two services: Train I and Train P. Schedules, ticket prices and routes are available on the HSL website. Tickets can be purchased at kiosks throughout the airport (tickets are not available for purchase on the train).
Local Travel: FREE 3-day train tickets valid from August 20 – 22. Tickets will be included with the attendee meeting materials. See Public Transportation for details.
Uber
Uber operates in Helsinki and is another option for transportation to and from the airport.
