Free Public Transportation for all SNL Attendees!

Helsinki Region Transport (HRT/HSL) will be supporting SNL 2019 by offering free public transportation for all meeting attendees. The 3-day tickets are valid in the greater Helsinki area, including the neighboring cities of Espoo, Vantaa and Kauniainen. Detailed information about public transportation in Helsinki can be found on the HSL website. In addition, an HSL App is available for Android and iPhone devices.

Tickets are valid from August 20 – 22, and will be available with your meeting materials.

Getting to Finlandia Hall

Finlandia Hall is located in a park on Töölönlahti Bay in the centre of Helsinki, not far from main bus and railways stations and easily accessed from Helsinki Airport. Tram and bus stops can be found right in front of the building, and Finlandia Hall is only a short walk from the city centre.

Location and parking

The address for Finlandia Hall is Mannerheimintie 13 e, FI-00100 Helsinki.

Trams 4 and 10 stop on Mannerheimintie in front of Finlandia Hall (National Museum stop).

Finlandia Hall’s taxi stand can be found on Karamzininranta, in front of the K1 entrance. Taxis can also be asked to pick up guests on the Mannerheimintie side of the building.

The K3 and K4 entrances on Karamzininranta have been combined and are clearly signposted to make them easy to find.

Parking

Q-Park Finlandia is located nearby and connected to Finlandia Hall by an underground walkway during Finlandia Hall’s opening hours.

The entrance to the car park is on Karamzininranta. Parking charges apply and the 650-space facility is operated by Q-Park. For more information, please contact Q-Park on +358 20 781 2400. Two hours of free parking are provided to veterans and the disabled and mobility-impaired. Tickets for these spaces are available at the Finlandia Hall Service Point on Level 1.

Airport Information

Helsinki Airport is located 21.1 km (12.5 miles) away from downtown Helsinki.

Ground Transportation

From the Helsinki Airport, public transit services provide easy access to downtown.

Train

The train connection between Helsinki Airport and the Helsinki city center takes about 30 minutes. There are two services: Train I and Train P.  Schedules, ticket prices and routes are available on the HSL website. Tickets can be purchased at kiosks throughout the airport (tickets are not available for purchase on the train).

Taxi

Airport taxis pick up in front of terminal 1 and on ground floor at terminal 2.

Uber

Uber operates in Helsinki and is another option for transportation to and from the airport.

Car Rental

There are six car-rental companies at Helsinki Airport: Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Europcar, Hertz and Sixt. Their service desks can be found in the corridor between terminals 1 and 2. You can pick up the rental cars easily from the parking hall P3.
