The recipient of the award is chosen from nominations put forward by the membership and presents a lecture at the Annual Meeting.<\/span><\/p>\n\n<h2>Eligibility<\/h2>\nCandidates for this award should have been in the field 15 or more years and have made major theoretical and empirical contributions to our\u00a0understanding of the neurobiology of language. This award recognizes senior scientists for their sustained and distinguished careers,\u00a0including outstanding scientific contributions, leadership, and mentoring. The recipient must be able to attend the annual meeting to deliver a talk about their research.\n<h2>Nominations<\/h2>\nNominations (including self-nominations) must be made by a current SNL member and are reviewed by an Award Committee consisting of SNL members. Nominations open on May 6, 2021 and close on June 17, 2021.\n\nNominations should include:\n<ul>\n\t<li>A CV<\/li>\n\t<li>A short (500 word) description of the nominee\u2019s contributions to the neurobiology of language<\/li>\n\t<li>Two letters of recommendation (each no more than 2 pages long) addressing the nominee\u2019s outstanding scientific contributions, leadership, and mentoring<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nThe award is presented at\u00a0the SNL Annual Meeting. It includes a prize of $1,000, generously provided by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tandfonline.com\/toc\/plcp21\/current\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Language, Cognition and Neuroscience<\/em><\/a>.
